Metabolizing The Meat of God's Word

I have read and considered somethings that would be strong meat in the ears of many.   I will post a few of those things below this writing.

There are some things we need to study, we need to consider, we need to read to provide a proper perspective.

God is a God of Judgement.
God created Hell.
God cursed mankind.
God destroyed the earth with Water and only eight souls were saved.

Thousands of men, women were destroyed by God's judgement.
God destroyed a whole city, everything because of the sin of Sodom.

There is coming a great and terrible day of the Lord in which all whose name is not written in the book of life shall be cast into the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone.

These are not my opinions, but rather proclamations of God concerning the the past and future.

If a person does not have this sort of recognition in his faith, ministry and life... they will find themselves justifying intellectually things that are not within the realm of reality WHO God is and what he values and hates.

It's a false God, if you preach a God and a message that ignores or dismisses these facts.

How could guys sit around.. and by asking questions reach a conclusion that nothing matters except that we love Jesus?

That conclusion is not based on Biblical facts but a fairy tale inspired by human reasoning and demonic interpretation.

"Ye shall not surely die."
"You will live forever even if you disobey."

Call it what it is.

It's deception.

Be Not Deceived, God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth that SHALL he also reap.

That is strong meat.    One could take the Femur out of a Cow and beat someone to death with it.   However if we will eat THE BOOK.

Pray it in, study it deeply and embrace it's pleasant and pertinence ...

We will be strong in the Lord!
We will properly preach the Word.
We will both save ourselves and those that hear us.

Paul, the writer of Romans and the vessel God used to teach us a greater understanding of grace, mercy and forgiveness wrote these words as well.

"Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences."  2 Corinthians 5:11
Listen to the Words of Jesus, our loving Saviour who died for our sins

Mark 9 45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
John the Beloved recorded Jesus declaring thisJhn 15:6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
We would all agree that it would be wrong and out of balance to teach, preach and dwell simply on judgement and hell fire constantly, right?

We would be just as wrong and in error to ignore it's reality and exclude it completely out of our sermons, teachings and warning of those with whom we have been given charge over in the realm of salvation.

Will it offend them?
Will some not come to your church?
Will some not follow you?
Some will even accuse you of terrible harshness and cruelty.

Jesus was rejected and hated of men.
Jesus was crucified on a cross for the Truth and it's righteous light.
If you are ashamed to preach the clear and distinctive message of truth and all of it's uncomfortable parts, you are at best weak and unworthy to call yourself a Christian.  At worst you are a false prophet and a deceiver.

Strong meat.   
We must be willing to metabolize these stark truths in our hearts and lives to be sure we are in the Faith and way of Jesus Christ.

My sincere desire is summed up in this.

I want to preach Heaven as bright and lovely as possible.  For people to labor , pray and serve Jesus in a glorious hope and looking for the great appearing of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ.   How True God's word is.  How strong his power is.  How redeeming his blood is.  How perfect his Love is.

I also want to preach against sin, carnality and the world and the forever hell and damnation in which dwell in those ways.  To warn of the deceptive nature of Satan and the great error in which he is striving to portray.  To highlight the ways of the false prophet and the spirit of Anti-Christ.
If you have been reading my musings over the past few years, you can see there are times that something is troubling me.  I write this stuff out, and is one of the ways it helps me process my thinking.   I can't and do not live in a world of being troubled.  I live a life of faith, expectation and hope.  However, as a pastor and a believer in the Word of God, I do have concerns.
We must strive for that Spirit and Truth balance ... 

I don't claim to have that balance.   However I recognize my great need for it.

I never want to use my skills in persuasion to make heaven unattainable.
Nor do I want to use my influence to lead people to a lie and a path that will lead them to hell with my sanction and blessing.

God have mercy on my soul!  Lord grant me wisdom!  Bless my spirit to communicate a pure balance and a proper reflection of your truth, way and will in which we all should live.
