Serving God is Beautiful.
This video is of a song was written by Rhonda Hurst and the video was on Facebook posted by her sister, Linda Elms.
This song was a regular in the church I grew up in as a teenager.
This truly is my testimony and experience that there is no greater life than a life around the church.
I pray that my kids and grandkids, as well as yours, could have this same experience. And testimony.
Was there offense?
Was there hardship?
Was there disappointment and betrayal, moral failures in leadership, and other unfortunate drama?
Yes. However, these things are unfortunate realities in the fallen world with fallen people. Somewhere, someone taught me to cling to goodness and relinquish the sourness, and disappointment in people and focus on the perfection that is Jesus Christ.
To be a doorkeeper, one day in the house of the Lord is better than a thousand elsewhere.
Serving the Lord is beautiful because our Lord is the only God and Lord and Saviour!
Thankful for this simple truth.
Serving God is beautiful.
In Him, By Him, Through Him,
Scott A. Phillips

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am going through a season of being 'disillusioned' by the church denomination where I serve. And I'm having to remind myself that at the end of the day, it is the Lord Christ whom I serve.
Beautiful words in the song that I just heard... angelic tones of unity & harmony
